| Our website RailWA has always had a big gap in its coverage, that is the various railways in the Pilbara. This collection rectifies this situation with photos that we have taken in the Pilbara during July 2009.
The railways in this area change your perception everything is big, locomotives and the trains they haul. Most trains run between 200-300+ wagons loaded with over 100 tonnes of iron ore each giving train weights of over 25,000 tonnes. Couple this with the latest generation of locos in multiple sets and then combine this with great scenery and its awesome! Hannah also contributed several photos in this collection. |
